3. Post about Harry Potter!

If you have ideas for Harry-Potter related things YOU want to talk about, fill out this form.  We welcome your suggestions!

This week, we're talking about Pottermore!

Please tell me that you've at least visited.  :)

For starters, we should be friends.  I'm stormstar106.

One morning, during the summer of the beta testing, I got up at 6:00 AM to score an early entry.  I got one.

Now, let me tell you, I do love the idea of Pottermore.  I hardly ever get on the site right now, though.  Here's why:  I don't have time.  I could spend A LOT of time exploring the chapters, making potions, and dueling.  When summer comes, friends, I'll be back.

What I like about the site:
1. I LOVE the exclusive content from J.K. Rowling.  Few things thrill me more than to learn more about characters.  I was particularly joyful when I read the information about Professor McGonagall.

2. I like that you can interact with other Harry Potter friends.  You can see your friends' progress through the stories, and challenge them to duels.

3. Making potions is fun, but I do have some issues with that which I will address shortly.

4. I enjoy finding and collecting the hidden objects in each chapter.

What bothers me about the site:
1. While I did mentions that I like potions, it kinda drives me crazy that you have to watch the time.  I don't know about you, but even during the summer, I'm not really willing to set an alarm, get up in the middle of the night (or early morning) to check on my potion.  I will also get furious a tad annoyed when I fail a potion and have to start it over again.

2. I currently only have one friend that I actually know.  (So please be friends with me.  I DO count you fellow bloggers as people I know, even if we have never met in real life.)

3. While I do love reading more about the characters, creatures, etc.  I don't like that they're listed repetitively just because they're in the chapter.  If there's no new information about that person or object, please just don't list it.  Because I WILL click on it just to be sure.  And I will be mad that there's nothing new for me to learn.

My House
I was sorted into Slytherin.

I will be honest.  When I first took the quiz to get sorted, something about one of the questions confused me.  I can't remember what it was now, but I was sorted into Slytherin.  So I managed to take it again....and STILL ended up there.

I know, I know.  Not all Slytherins turned out bad.  But STILL.....

Don't let that keep you from being my friend.  ;) :p

Have you been on the site?  Do you have an account?  What do you think about it?  What's your favorite/least favorite part?

Week 26 Questions
1. Which Harry Potter movie actor would you most like to hang out with for a day?
2. Do you think there should be a television miniseries made in the future based on the books?
3. Be honest - do you want to see the movies remade with different actors sometime in the future?

I just added you - I'm QuaffleNox203 :) My likes/dislikes with Pottermore are basically the same as yours. I also wish it was more interactive...more stuff to do all the time (when waiting for new chapters) besides just potions and dueling. Maybe in the future!

Pottermore friends yay!!!

I also got annoyed very quickly by the characters and places, etc. being redundantly listed in each chapter. Usually when I want the "exclusive content" I just look for the little red quill that pops up next to the new stuff. I agree though, that's definitely my favorite part. I LOVE McGonagall's back story!
