The 4th Annual Great Pumpkin Swap!

Did you think it wasn't happening this year?

I have sort of not been very active here lately, so I can't blame you if you did.

BUT it's here!

Swaps are so much fun, and I've loved participating in (and hosting) this one for the last three years!  Kristin (from Stuff & Things) and I thought it would be fun to save the swap until fall was really getting under way this year.

If you haven't done a swap before, you don't HAVE to have a blog.  Your partner can share what they're sending on her (or his) blog when it's reveal time.  You can also share your goodies on other social media!  A swap is also a great way to make new friends across the country (or world).  Thanks to this swap, I have met and continue to follow Casey from Everyday Adventures, Rachel from The Ross Family, and last year, Micah from Unabashedly Me.

So here's how things will go this year:

1. Fill out the form to sign up for the swap! Sign-ups end on Friday, October 9th at 11:59pm.

2. By Monday, October 12th, you will get an e-mail from one of us with your swap partner.

3. Once you know your partner, please make contact within 48 hours (by Wednesday, October 14th) to get to know a bit more about each other.

4. Spend $15-$20 (excluding shipping) to put together a fun package for your partner.

5. Mail your package on or before Tuesday, October 27th.

6. Link up with us on Friday, November 6th to share your swap goodies!

It's that easy!  I can't tell you how fun it is to get your swap goodies in the mail.  I am obsessed with getting mail and packages are so much better!

Sweetheart Swap Reveal

Back in January, I signed up for another swap!  Swaps are so fun to do!  You get to "meet" and know another blogger, and then you get a box of awesome goodies!

I was paired up with Celia from the Houck Diaries.  It's been great getting to know her through all of our social media sites!

I got such great gifts in my package!!  I'm sure you'll all be surprised to know that I did NOT immediately devour that Reese's heart.  I'm saving it for this weekend.  :)

 

There's also a yummy smelling candle in vanilla biscotti, a cute "love" mug from Pier I, this adorable little note pad with birds on the front (they each have a speech bubble that says "tweet"), and this great pad for meal planning!

 

Celia was certainly doing her research on me.  She totally hit the nail on the head with everything in my box, and she even worked in some purple with that tissue paper!  :)

 

The funniest part is that she included that meal planning sheet in my package that was mailed DAYS before I posted this tweet:

 

I NEED to start #mealplanning. When I don't, I eat a bunch of crap & am not satisfied. Life is too short to not have a meal you love! 😌

She must have been reading my mind.  Scott and I desperately need to go grocery shopping.  I'm not sure how we always end up doing this to ourselves.  We somehow end up waiting until we have practically no food before we go.  It's something we like doing together, and inevitably, we always need to go on a weekend when Scott is working.  :-p  ANYWAY, I'll be certain to start using this right away!

Snowflake Swap: Reveal

Last month, I signed up with Jane to be part of the Snowflake Swap.  I was paired up with Tracie.  Since Tracie's not a blogger, I snapped a picture of what I sent her!

I sent Tracie a snowman from my Celebrating Home company.  I also sent her some fuzzy socks, a mug, Foldger's cappuccino mix, and some candy from a local candy store!  After some oddness from the post office, she did get her package, although a tad late!  Fortunately, she also really enjoyed it! :)

Here's what I got:

I got a zebra print scarf, a mug with chocolates, a set of Godiva hot chocolate, gourmet chocolate chip cookies, two ornaments, and silicone baking sets.

I'm saving that hot chocolate for a particularly cold and snowy day!  I can't wait to have it, but I don't want to use it up too soon!

Last October, I did my very first blog swap!  It was hosted by my friend Kristin and another blogger, Allie.  I loved picking out gifts to send, and getting my package in the mail, too.  That's also when I got to meet Casey because we were paired up! 

So anyway, about a month ago, I e-mailed Kristin and asked if she'd be interested in hosting a fall blog swap with me, and so was born the 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Swap! :)

 

I can't even express how excited I am!  :)  So here's what you need to know!

 

What:  A fun swap of all things Fall with a blog partner.  You sign up, we give you a partner, you do some shopping, and ship out the package.  

And then,  you'll get a fun package in return! 

Cost should be $15-20 without the shipping.

 

When: Sign-ups will run from today to Monday, October 7th.  We'll send you your partner's email address by Friday, October 11th, so you can swap contact info (We'll have all the info on a spreadsheet, so if you have questions just let me know!)  Packages need to be mailed out by Friday, October 18th.  We'll link up our reveals on Friday, October 25th!
